Study of Geronimo
12" x  14 " Oil on Canvas

This study of Geronimo was done as
a brain exercise. First the canvas was
painted with burnt umber, then paint
was removed using a terry cloth rag,
viewing the original upside down.  It
makes you look at how angles and
color tones fit together to form an
object rather than getting lost in the
object itself.

The luminosity, intensity and transparency of Oil Paint endows a Portrait
Painting with great warmth, exceptional beauty and durability.  A portrait
reflects the likeness, character and personality of the subject, and an Oil
Portrait Painting can become a treasured moment for yourself, your family
and future generations.

I can paint a unique personalized portrait using a photograph of your
choice depicting you or a loved one enjoying a hobby, just relaxing or in a
more executive pose that you will be able to enjoy forever.

Having yourself or a loved one painted in a
Renaissance Painting (ie;
Scarlett O'Hara, Rhett Butler), can be fun, beautiful and fulfill a lifelong
fantasy of the old days.

Portraits
This is an old photograph which
doesn't depict the true colors of
this beautiful lady's hair so color
was adjusted.  Still a work in
progress.

I love it!!!

Brenda,

It is just what I had hoped, but had not really
allowed myself to expect.  Purchasing a
portrait online was a challenge and I kept
thinking that I might be being and idiot
deciding to pay more then the average rate
based on digital images on the internet.  I
could not have made a better choice.

I rushed out to a framing place that I know in
Manhattan to pick out a frame and went with
your suggestion of a wider frame (4").  After
I had chosen the frame and left my deposit he
complimented the painting profusely saying
that this is a quality classic yet modern
portrait and went on and on about the facial
detail and the background and the way the
hair blended into the background.  I have had
other things framed by this man and this is
not just something he does to butter up his
clients.

Thank you VERY VERY much.
